Maxis Berhad ("Maxis") refers to Maxis’ announcement dated 21 October 2011 in relation to the Network Sharing and Alliance Agreement ("NSA") dated 21 October 2011 for Maxis’ 3G radio access network made between Maxis Broadband Sdn Bhd (“MBSB”) and U Mobile Sdn Bhd (“U Mobile”). 

MBSB has on 23 June 2017 (after office hours) received a letter from U Mobile terminating the NSA pursuant to a termination for convenience option available to U Mobile under the NSA. The termination will take place in stages over a period of 18 months with completion on 27 December 2018.

The termination of the NSA is not expected to have a material  effect on the consolidated financial results of Maxis Berhad for the financial year ending 2017.
